celebrates a Day of Cultural Unity and Educational Pride in Hedri.

A day that beautifully blended devotion, community spirit, and academic celebration unfolded in Hedri as Lloyds Infinite Foundation (LIF) marked two significant milestones: the inauguration of a newly constructed Ganesha temple and the grand celebration of the first Annual Day function of Lloyds Raj Vidya Niketan (LRVN), titled ‘Udit Utsav’.

The morning began on a spiritual note with the inauguration of the Ganesha temple opposite Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial Hospital. Dr. Priti and Chetan Burriwar performed the auspicious pooja, joined by Sarpanch of Pursalgondi Gram Panchayat, Mrs. Aruna Sadmek; LIF Director Mrs. Kirthy Reddy; GM, LIF, Mr. Gajanana Naik; Project Director, Mrs. Sunita Mehta; and several senior officials from Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd (LMEL), including Mr. TA Bhaskar, Mr. C. Kumaresan, Mr. Subhashish Bose, and others. This event underscores the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing not just infrastructure, but also cultural and spiritual harmony in the region.

Later in the day, the vibrant atmosphere continued with ‘Udit Utsav’—the first Annual Day celebration of Lloyds Raj Vidya Niketan (LRVN). The event was a joyous reflection of the school’s commitment to holistic education. Students captivated the audience with an array of performances, including a soulful Ganesh Vandana, creative skits, and cultural presentations from the Primary and Pre-Primary wings. The young anchors of LRVN School beautifully handled the whole event.

The overwhelming joy and pride on the faces of the parents stood as a testament to the school’s growing impact. Their wholehearted support and presence filled the grounds with encouragement, turning the Annual Day into a true community celebration. Applauding every performance, cheering for every achiever, and standing beside their children with pride, the presence of parents made the event even more special.

Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director, LMEL, graced the event as Chief Guest, joined by Executive Director Mr. S. Venkateswaran, Director of LIF Mrs. Kirthy Reddy, Project Director Mrs. Sunita Mehta, local dignitaries, police officials, village representatives, and enthusiastic parents.

In his address, Mr. Prabhakaran lauded the tremendous growth and achievements of the school within just a year and emphasized LMEL’s vision to transform Gadchiroli into ‘The Next Steel City of India’. He praised the increasing role of women in the workforce across all sectors of the company and highlighted initiatives such as green mining at Surjagarh and the LIF-Curtin global education program, under which 10 local students are pursuing engineering at Curtin University, fully sponsored by LIF.

The occasion also marked the release of the 4th edition of ‘Unnati’, LIF’s quarterly magazine, showcasing stories of progress and transformation across Gadchiroli.

The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the National Anthem, symbolizing unity, progress, and the shared vision of building a brighter future for Gadchiroli through education, empowerment, and sustainability.
