The Security Training Institute in Hedri Launches First Batch of Lady Guards

On a momentous day, May 21, 2024, the serene town of Hedri witnessed a historic event. The Security Training Institute proudly launched its inaugural batch of 15 lady guards, a pioneering step toward gender equality in security services. The journey to this landmark began with a comprehensive pre-recruitment rally, which tested the mettle of the aspirants through rigorous physical challenges, a written exam, interviews, and thorough medical evaluations. Only the best were chosen to embark on this transformative training journey.

A Rigorous and Comprehensive Training Program

The training program at The Security Training Institute is nothing short of rigorous, designed to meet the precise demands of modern security roles. Over 42 intensive days, trainees are put through their paces, ensuring they emerge as well-rounded security professionals. The non-residential program allows trainees to return home by 4:00 PM, balancing their professional training with personal responsibilities.

Nestled in the tranquil Krishnar village of Etapalli taluka in Gadchiroli district, the Lloyds Security Academy stands as a beacon of excellence in skill development. The academy’s sprawling campus provides an ideal environment for both learning and physical training, emphasizing overall health through various exercises, yoga sessions, and drills.

Daily Schedule Highlights:

  • Morning: Physical exercises and obstacle training to build strength and agility.
  • Post-Breakfast: Drill training and march past practices instilling discipline and soldier-like values.
  • Classroom Sessions: Four 45-minute classes covering security basics, fire safety, communication, and emergency response.
  • Lunch Break: A much-needed respite from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM.
  • Afternoon: Practical demonstrations or student-led classes for hands-on learning.
  • Concluding Activities: Creative arts, painting, dance, yoga, and meditation sessions to ensure mental well-being.

Empowering the Community: Deployment and Ongoing Training

The Security Training Institute’s impact extends beyond training; it actively contributes to community security needs. To date, 377 guards have been trained and deployed across various sectors, including oxygen plants, marriage halls, base camps, mines, stock yards, Krishnar training centre, and road traffic management. Currently, 25 trainees are undergoing the program, ready to join the ranks of their predecessors.

Lloyds Infinite Foundation Inaugurates Computer Training Center in Konsari Village.
On the bright morning of April 27th, 2024, Konsari village witnessed a transformative milestone with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Computer Training Center, courtesy of the Lloyds Infinite Foundation. The event, marked by community enthusiasm and anticipation, was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Kirthy Reddy, Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, who had the honor of inaugurating the center.
The new facility, equipped with six modern computers, is designed to empower the local youth with essential digital skills. The center will host six students per batch, with an initial intake of 36 trainees spread across six batches. Over a three-month period, these trainees will immerse themselves in a comprehensive curriculum, aimed at bridging the digital divide and enhancing employability. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded certificates, recognizing their newfound competencies.

The inauguration was a celebrated community event, attended by the village Sarpanch, Srikant Pavde; Upsarpanch, Ratan Akkewar; and the Executive Director of Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd., S. Venkateswaran. The presence of villagers, enthusiastic students, and officials from the company underscored the collective spirit of progress and unity.
Strategically located beside the Lloyds Library, the Lloyds Computer Training Centre offers a synergistic environment for learning. This proximity ensures that students have access to a broad spectrum of knowledge resources, fostering a holistic educational experience.

The passing out parade and valedictory function for the lady security guards training program took place on June 26, 2024, at Hedri Ground, Gadchiroli, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries.
