At Lloyds Inifinite Foundation (LIF), we care about the health and well-being of the women and girls in our community. We organized a special event to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day on 3rd June 2023. Menstrual Hygiene Day is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness and break the stigma around menstruation.

LIF focuses on improving the quality of life of the rural population and for this we conducted an awareness session where 270 women and adolescent girls from Usgaon and Mhatardevi districts of Ghugus, Chandrapur took part.

The session was led by Mrs. Purti Gaikwad, a counselor from Amravati, who is an expert on menstrual health and hygiene. She explained the menstrual cycle and its management using good practices. She also discussed the myths and taboos about menstruation, and how they affect the mental and physical health of women and girls. She emphasized the importance of using sanitary napkins and how to dispose them properly. She also encouraged the men in the audience to support their female family members during their periods.

The session was interactive and informative, with quizzes, games, and demonstrations. The participants asked questions and shared their experiences and challenges. LIF distributed free sanitary napkins as a gesture of support and solidarity.

The event was graced by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Unit Head of Lloyds Metal, Mr. Pawan Meshram, HR Head of Lloyds Metal, and other HODs of Lloyds Metal. They appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to continue supporting the cause of menstrual hygiene. We are proud of what we have done through LIF. We are inspired by the enthusiasm and courage of the women and girls who attended the event. And we are determined to keep working towards enhancing the lives of our community.
