On May 21, 2024, the town of Hedri witnessed a landmark milestone with the launch of the first batch of 15 lady guards at the Security Training Institute in Gadchiroli & Hedri. The non-residential structure enables trainees to return home by 4:00 PM, allowing them to balance professional growth with family responsibilities.

The institute’s impact extends far beyond training. To date, 377 guards have been trained and deployed across oxygen plants, marriage halls, base camps, mines, stock yards, training centres, and road traffic management units.

This structured deployment model strengthens the broader objectives of B. Prabhakaran Digital Education Initiative, where skill-building is aligned with employment generation and long-term livelihood sustainability.

Currently, 25 trainees are undergoing the program, preparing to join the growing network of professionally trained personnel emerging from this Security Training Institute in Gadchiroli & Hedri.

Lloyds Computer Training Center in Konsari Inaugurated

On April 27, 2024, Konsari village marked another milestone in regional development with the inauguration of the Lloyds Computer Training Center in Konsari, an initiative aligned with the broader B. Prabhakaran Digital Education Initiative.

The state-of-the-art facility, equipped with six modern computers, is designed to enhance digital literacy among rural youth. Each batch accommodates six students, with 36 trainees enrolled across six batches over a three-month cycle. Upon completion, participants receive certification, strengthening their employability in a technology-driven economy.

Strategically located beside the Lloyds Library, the centre provides a conducive environment for learning and research. The integration of digital access with knowledge resources enhances the overall educational ecosystem.
