Lloyds Infinite Foundation, in association with the Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur, successfully conducted a Biochar Demonstration Training Program at Shengaon. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local farmers and agricultural youth.
The session was inaugurated by Mr. Y.G.S. Prasad, Unit Head, Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd., Ghugus. Dr. A. Manikandan, Senior Scientist from CICR, served as the resource person, sharing key insights on biochar’s role in enhancing soil fertility, water retention, and promoting sustainable farming practices.
Distinguished guests included Mr. Prashant Puri (Senior VP, Lloyds Metals), Sarpanch Mrs. Pushpatai Malekar, and Mr. Deepak Salve (Deputy Manager, Lloyds Metals). Live demonstrations and expert guidance enabled participants to better understand the process and advantages of biochar production.
The initiative was well-received by the farming community, with many expressing keen interest in adopting biochar techniques. Lloyds Infinite Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more such impactful training programs for rural development and agricultural innovation.
