Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial Hospital took a significant step forward in its healthcare journey with the Bhumi Pujan ceremony for the upcoming Cardio–Neuro–Molecular Lab and Burn Unit, part of the hospital’s ambitious 150-bed expansion project. This milestone reinforces the hospital’s mission to bring advanced medical care closer to communities that need it most.
The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Kirthy Reddy, Director – Lloyds Infinite Foundation, Ms. Sunita Mehta, Project Director, Dr. Gopal Roy, Medical Superintendent, along with doctors, hospital staff, senior officials, and key stakeholders who have been integral to the hospital’s growth.
Guided by the vision of B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, this expansion reflects a deep commitment to strengthening tertiary and super-specialty healthcare in underserved regions. The new facilities will include a Cath Lab, advanced Cardiac and Neuro Operation Theatres, ICU and HDU beds, a dedicated Burn Unit, and super-specialty OPDs.
Once operational, the Cardio-Neuro unit will enable timely, life-saving interventions for cardiac emergencies, strokes, neuro-trauma, and vascular cases, while the Burn Unit will offer specialized care for severe burn injuries, significantly reducing referrals to distant urban hospitals.
Rooted in the CSR vision of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, this Bhumi Pujan marks more than just infrastructure development—it represents a sustained promise to deliver accessible, advanced, and quality healthcare to remote, tribal, and underserved communities. With this expansion, Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial Hospital moves closer to becoming a comprehensive multi-specialty and super-specialty healthcare hub, building healthier futures where care is needed the most.
