Building Trust from Within: LMEL and Lloyds Infinite Foundation Earn Great Place To Work® Certification

A workplace is shaped not just by policies or performance metrics, but by the everyday experiences of its people—the trust they feel, the respect they receive, and the sense of purpose they share. That belief was reaffirmed when Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited (LMEL) and Lloyds Infinite Foundation (LIF) were officially certified as a Great Place To Work®, achieving an exceptional 91% Trust Index score for both organisations. This milestone is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices of employees themselves. Through the Trust Index Survey, teams across LMEL and Lloyds Infinite Foundation shared their experiences of collaboration, inclusion, leadership, and growth. The result is a collective endorsement of a workplace culture built on transparency, mutual respect, and shared values. Speaking on the moment, B. Prbhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, shared, “A strong organisation is built on trust—when our people feel heard, respected, and supported, excellence becomes a habit. This certification is a proud reminder that culture is not a slogan; it is what we live every day.” For Lloyds Infinite Foundation, the CSR arm of Lloyds Metals, this recognition goes beyond internal validation. A people-first culture is fundamental to delivering meaningful and sustainable impact across tribal and rural communities. When teams feel valued and supported, that strength translates directly into more responsive programmes, deeper community engagement, and long-term social outcomes. While the Great Place To Work® certification is a proud achievement, it also marks the beginning of a renewed responsibility. Both LMEL and Lloyds Infinite Foundation remain committed to strengthening leadership capabilities, investing in learning and wellbeing, and listening actively to employee feedback to continuously improve the employee experience. As organisations driven by purpose and responsibility, LMEL and Lloyds Infinite Foundation will continue to raise benchmarks—not only in what they achieve, but in how they work together every day. This recognition stands as a reminder that trust, when nurtured consistently, becomes the strongest foundation for growth and impact.
From Foundation to Future: How UIT Is Transforming Technical Education in Gadchiroli

In Gadchiroli, where distance and disadvantage have often limited access to technical education, the University Institute of Technology (UIT) is creating a new baseline of opportunity. Spread across a 170-acre campus and supported through a ₹25 crore CSR investment by Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited (LMEL), UIT currently runs free diploma programmes for tribal & local youth with 60 students enrolled, covering disciplines aligned to modern industry needs—and with BTech admissions planned from July 2026 under Gondwana University. One more remarkable step in the journey of UIT was witnessed when a MoU was signed by Curtin University with Gondwana University on 7th May 2025 at Raj Bhavan Mumbai, in the presence of Hon’ble Governor, CM, state leaders and Lloyds management. The journey of UIT carries national and state-level encouragement as well. President Droupadi Murmu laid the foundation stone on July 5, 2023, signalling the importance of quality education in India’s tribal heartlands. More recently, Hon’ble Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated UIT on December 27, 2025, in the presence of Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director – LMEL and Lloyds Infinite Foundation, marking a milestone moment for the district and its youth. For Lloyds Infinite Foundation, this institution represents more than infrastructure—it represents continuity, confidence, and careers. With a model designed to remove barriers, UIT supports learners with essential enablers like residential facilities and structured pathways that prepare them for high-value roles, not just entry-level jobs. Sharing his perspective on what this shift means for the region, B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, said, “UIT reflects our belief that Gadchiroli can become a hub of skilled manpower, high-quality education and sustainable development. When local youth get access to the right learning and exposure, they don’t just find jobs—they build careers that change the trajectory of entire families.” As UIT grows, it strengthens a powerful idea: real development is not imported—it is built locally, by enabling local talent with world-class education. Through Lloyds Infinite Foundation and LMEL, the goal remains clear—create pathways where potential is recognised early, nurtured well, and converted into lifelong opportunity in Gadchiroli.

Leadership with Purpose: How B. Prabhakaran Is Strengthening Rural India Through Health, Education, and Livelihood Initiatives

B Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, has played a defining role in reshaping Gadchiroli’s development narrative — from a Maoist-affected region to an emerging industrial and social growth corridor. With the operationalization of Surjagarh Iron Ore Mines and the Konsari Steel Plant, Gadchiroli witnessed large-scale industry for the first time. This shift created 10,000+ direct employment opportunities, with a strong emphasis on local hiring, women inclusion, and structured skilling . Alongside industry, development expanded into healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and sports infrastructure. More than 3,000 youth trained, free multispecialty healthcare, education support, and women-led income generation have collectively strengthened the district’s social foundation The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra has publicly stated that Gadchiroli is poised to become the “Gateway to Maharashtra” and a key contributor to the state’s industrial growth. This integrated transformation reflects the leadership ethos of B Prabhakaran Managing Director Lloyds Metals — growth that is secure, inclusive, and rooted in community confidence. Lloyds Infinite Foundation functions as the social anchor sustaining this long-term development journey.
From Corporate Responsibility to Community Transformation: B. Prabhakaran’s Role in Shaping Lloyds Infinite Foundation’s People-First CSR Approach

For B Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, employment is not merely job creation — it is dignity, stability, and social confidence. This belief has guided one of the largest grassroots skill and employment movements in Gadchiroli. Under leadership-driven initiatives, over 3,000 local youth have been trained across practical roles such as welding, electrical work, driving, nursing, firefighting, and mechanical operations, with direct absorption into active industrial projects. Today, more than 10,000 people are employed across Lloyds operations, with 62% belonging to Gadchiroli, sharply reducing migration from the district. Women-led transformation stands out strongly. Through focused skilling, women now operate HMV/LMV vehicles, dumpers, security roles, and core industrial functions. In parallel, the Lloyds Vanya Clothing Co. garment unit employs 150+ tribal women from 32 villages, producing 6,000+ garments sold nationwide, creating steady household incomes. These outcomes reflect how B Prabhakaran Managing Director Lloyds Metals aligns industrial growth with human development. Lloyds Infinite Foundation enables these interventions by structuring training, placement, and long-term workforce integration
B. Prabhakaran’s Vision for Inclusive Growth: How Leadership at Lloyds Infinite Foundation Is Driving Grassroots Development in Maharashtra

B Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, has consistently emphasized that leadership must translate into measurable improvements in people’s lives. One of the strongest reflections of this philosophy is the transformation of rural healthcare delivery in Gadchiroli. Under his leadership vision, healthcare services in Etapalli taluka evolved from a single hut-based medical setup in 2021 into a 30-bed multispecialty hospital by December 2023, offering completely free healthcare to tribal communities Today, the Lloyds Kali Ammal Memorial Hospital treats around 300 patients daily, compared to just 15–20 patients per day in its early phase. As of October 2025, the hospital has provided treatment to over 1,60,000 patients and conducted 300+ safe institutional deliveries, addressing a region previously dependent on home births and traditional healers. The facility now operates with 181 healthcare professionals, including 22 doctors, and is expanding toward a 100-bed hospital that will employ over 500 medical professionals. This outcome-driven healthcare model reflects how B Prabhakaran Managing Director Lloyds Metals views responsibility — as sustained access, not episodic aid. Lloyds Infinite Foundation serves as the structured platform that converts this leadership vision into scalable healthcare impact
Empowering Rural Women Through Lloyds Infinite Foundation Women Empowerment Initiatives in Gadchiroli

At Lloyds Infinite Foundation, women’s empowerment is at the heart of inclusive development. Through Lloyds Infinite Foundation women empowerment initiatives, the organization is driving social and economic transformation across Gadchiroli and Hedri. These women empowerment initiatives in Gadchiroli and Hedri address systemic barriers that have historically limited women’s potential, helping them become self-reliant, confident, and active contributors to community growth. In Hedri and Gadchiroli, women skill development programs provide childcare support and family counseling to make participation easier for rural women. This thoughtful integration of social and economic empowerment allows women to balance their aspirations with their responsibilities at home. Lloyds Infinite Foundation has deployed 18 women outreach workers across several villages to ensure greater participation of rural women by listening to their needs, guiding them, and empowering their communities. We’ve strengthened local livelihoods by helping women transform their village economies. A key example is the Kadaknath poultry project, which supports over 25 women from Potha Village and has generated an income of more than INR 85,000. Similarly, our fishery initiative benefits 20 women from Surjagarh Village and has enabled the opening of more than 26 savings accounts. From earners to entrepreneurs, these women are shaping a stronger future—driving inclusive growth and creating lasting change. Guided by B. Prabhakaran, the Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and the Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, the women empowerment projectsinclude exposure visits to markets, training, and entrepreneurship sessions, ensuring that participants not only learn a trade but also develop the confidence to lead businesses of their own. Over time, these programs have resulted in a 40% increase in household incomes and greater representation of women in local leadership and self-help groups, highlighting the power of CSR in women empowerment when it is designed around real community needs. Through sustained partnerships and adaptive learning models, Lloyds Infinite Foundation ensures that every program under CSR in women empowerment in Gadchiroli remains locally driven and future-ready. The organization’s focus on skill development, entrepreneurship, and social inclusion continues to create ripples of positive change—turning Gadchiroli and Hedri into hubs of resilience, dignity, and hope. With compassion, consistency, and commitment, Lloyds Infinite Foundation women empowerment initiatives are shaping a new narrative for rural India—one where every woman has the opportunity to learn, lead, and live with confidence and independence.
