The much-anticipated G.D. Goenka Lloyds Public School, an initiative under Lloyds Infinite Foundation, located at Mhataradevi in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, has opened its doors to offer quality, value-based, and holistic CBSE education to students, initially from Class Nursery to IV. The inaugural ceremony was followed by a parent orientation under the auspices of our Executive Director, Mr. Madhur Gupta. Principal Jessy Roy provided an overview of the school and its future operations to the parents. The school inauguration program was graced by officials of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, and the little children made this a memorable event by cutting the ribbon of their respective classes. Through this educational institute, our aim is to make it a center of knowledge and learning, so that the students of G.D. Goenka Lloyds Public School not only excel academically and professionally but also become the ideal citizens of the country.

A Step Towards Fostering Skill Development and Empowering Local Youth.

Lloyds Kaushalya Kendra (Skill Centre) under Lloyds Infinite Foundation has been inaugurated at Anturla Fata, Chandrapur, with a view to foster skill development and empower the local youth. The skill centre will be offering Electrician and Mechanic-cum-Fitter job roles training initially. The event was graced by the District Collector of Chandrapur, Hon. Vinay Gowda (IAS), Mr. Bhaiyaji Yerame, Assistant Commissioner of the District Skill Center, Chandrapur, and Mr. Pawan Meshwaram, Vice President of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL). Lloyds Kaushalya Kendra (Skill Centre) aims to provide accessible, quality education and training, creating a skilled workforce in different trades to contribute to the economic growth of Chandrapur and beyond. The centre plans to expand its course offerings over the coming months from its current batch size of 40 to more than 200 students.

Celebrating Sportsmanship: LLOYDS Inter-Village Tournament

Lloyds Infinite Foundation, as part of its CSR sports initiative, proudly organized the Inter-Village Volleyball and Tug of War Tournament from June 26 to June 30, 2024, at Itulnar village. This spirited event saw participation from 20 village teams across Gadchiroli district, showcasing athleticism and teamwork. The tournament featured intense volleyball matches for men and competitive tug of war battles for women. Honoring local talent and fostering community spirit, the event was graced by esteemed guests including the Chief Guest, Itulnar Village Sarpanch and Patel, Director C. Kumaresan, CSR Officer Sathya Rao, and HR Officer Vijayakumar, who presented awards to the deserving champions. Highlights: Volleyball Champions: Konsari Village Tug of War Champions: Krushnar Village With a total of 200 volleyball players and 80 tug of war participants, the tournament not only promoted sportsmanship but also united villages in friendly competition.
