Through Lloyds CSR sports programs in Gadchiroli and Hedri, we strive to redefine community engagement by nurturing tribal youth, building confidence, and fostering holistic development through structured sports training, mentorship, and inclusive tournaments. The Lloyds Infinite Foundation sports initiatives in Hedri and Gadchiroliaim to strengthen government schools by organizing inclusive sports tournaments that promote participation, teamwork, and holistic development. Guided by the vision and direction of, B. Prabhakaran, the Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and the Director of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, these programs focus on using sports as a medium for cultivating leadership, teamwork, and discipline—qualities that resonate beyond the playing field. By channeling youthful energy into structured sports, the initiatives help reduce risks of conflict, substance abuse, and social disengagement. Established in 2023 near Konsari, theLloyds Sports Academy in Gadchiroli stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for rural youth. What began as a modest summer camp has now evolved into a comprehensive training ecosystem under the Lloyds CSR in sports frameworkwe provide quality training in athletics, archery, football, volleyball, kabaddi, and self-defense. The academy has trained over 300 young individualsfrom nearby villages who benefit from Lloyds Infinite Foundation’s comprehensive support. Professional coaches, backed by modern facilities and scientific training methods, ensure that every athlete receives guidance tailored to their potential. The outcomes of these sports development CSR programs in Hedri have been remarkable. The results speak for themselves—participants have earned recognition at state-level competitions, securing gold in volleyball and bronze in minigolf, marking the region’s growing prominence in sports excellence. Over the past year, there has been a 300% increase in overall enrollment and a twofold rise in participation among girls—a milestone that reflects growing inclusivity and confidence among young women. Yet, beyond the numbers lie stories that define real change: a young girl leading her team to victory and inspiring her peers; a small village uniting to cheer for their cricket squad; or a once-shy student finding purpose and pride through sport. Each narrative reaffirms how Lloyds CSR sports initiatives are not just shaping athletes but nurturing future leaders and changemakers. Through its commitment to youth and community development, Lloyds Infinite Foundation has positioned sports as a bridge between aspiration and achievement. By integrating structured coaching, inclusive participation, and community involvement, the foundation is setting a new standard for CSR-led sports development in rural India.The upgradation of sports facilities, coupled with dedicated and continuous coaching, has strengthened community trust and created a sustainable model for long-term youth engagement. Athletes trained under Lloyds Sports Academy made a notable mark at the State Level Athletics Championship held in Nagpur. Yash Bhandekar secured 4th place in the 10,000m U-20 category, showcasing endurance and grit on the track. Monika Sannu Madavi soared high by winning Silver in High Jump (U-20) with a jump of 1.46m, proving that determination has no limits. In team sports, Lloyds Kabaddi stars are all set to represent Maharashtra in the U-18 category. Girls Team Selections: Payal Talandi, Samira Gota, Vidya Gawade, Asha Naroti, Sapna Pungati Boys Team Selections: Mahash Koode, Svatantra Ade, Amol Warse LIF continues to fuel rural dreams with coaching, opportunity, and platforms to shine.

Lloyds Sports Academy Triumphs in Athletics, Volleyball, and Marathon Events.

Students from Lloyds Sports Academy (LSA) have delivered outstanding performances across several state-level sports competitions. At the Maharashtra State Level Athletics Championship in Nagpur, LSA’s Monika Sannu Madavi clinched gold in the High Jump (Under-19), while Nilina Ramshaha Meshram secured gold in the High Jump (Under-17). In the Maharashtra Volleyball Association Division Matches, the Under-18 Girls’ Team secured second place, with standout players Sujita Biswas and Soniya Biswas being selected for future competitions. The Under-18 Boys’ Team also finished as runners-up in a competitive match held at Sakoli. Further adding to the academy’s success, Rohan Burase finished as the runner-up in the men’s 21km Half Marathon in Yavatmal, demonstrating exceptional endurance and athleticism. These accomplishments reflect LSA’s commitment to fostering young talent and inspiring excellence in various sports disciplines.

Lloyds Sports Academy Students Excel at Sobat Foundation’s Sports and Cultural Festival.

The Sports and Cultural Festival organized by the Sobat Foundation on December 8th and 9th, 2024, at Saoli, Chandrapur, witnessed stellar performances by the students of Lloyds Sports Academy (LSA). Competing in the Volleyball and Marathon events, LSA students showcased exceptional talent and teamwork, bringing pride to the academy. In the Volleyball tournament, which featured 12 participating teams, the LSA Senior Team from Konsari clinched the 1st prize, while the LSA Junior Team from Konsari secured the 2nd prize, marking a dominant display in the sport. The marathon event was equally remarkable for LSA. In the highly competitive 5-kilometer race, Yash Bhandekar finished in 1st place, and Rohan Dhurase achieved an impressive 2nd place, demonstrating outstanding endurance and determination. The achievements at this festival are a testament to the rigorous training and dedication of LSA students and coaches. The Jay Durga Sports and Cultural Association in Gouripur recently hosted an exhilarating state-level football tournament where the Lloyds Metal Team showcased exceptional talent and teamwork. Tournament Highlights: Lloyds Metal Team – Winner of the First Prize The team emerged victorious at the tournament organized by Jay Durga Sports and Cultural Association, clinching the First Prize. Netaji Cup – Third Prize In the Netaji Cup state-level football tournament held in Jaynagar/Bikrampur, the Lloyds Metal Team secured an impressive Third Prize, demonstrating their skill and determination on the field. Swami Vivekananda Sports Club Tournament – Runner-Up At the Swami Vivekananda Sports Club state-level football tournament in Ramnagar (N) village, the team achieved the status of Runner-Up, earning the Second Prize in a highly competitive environment. The tournament, which took place from August 27 to August 29, 2024, saw spirited competition among 14 participating teams. Lloyds Sports Academy Shines in ‘Tiranga Marathon Competition’ by Nagar Panchayat Chamorshi.

Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative by Nagar Panchayat Chamorshi, a ‘Tiranga Marathon Competition’ was organized to celebrate the spirit of patriotism. Lloyds Sports Academy students excelled in the event, securing the top three positions. Yash Bhandekar claimed 1st place, followed by Nageshwar Rasse in 2nd place, and Roshan Badalkar in 3rd place. Lloyds Sports Academy Students Selected for Gadchiroli Police Constabulary.

It is a moment of immense pride for Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited and Lloyds Infinite Foundation as three students from our Lloyds Sports Academy—Prakash Miri, Nageshwar Rasse, and Aniket Allewar—have been selected in the recent Gadchiroli Police Constabulary selection.
